Welcome to NYC, Nicole and family!
Nicole runs a blog called Broomstick Sweetie’s.
I love New York. When I was 16 years old, I went to New York for 8 weeks to study at the Joffrey Ballet School. I stayed in Greenwich Village in a residence that was no joke… part convalescent hospital for the elderly and mentally insane, and part summer residence for a bunch of other young girls like myself pursuing their dreams of becoming artists of one sort or another. Although where we slept was an absolute fright, I fell in love whole heartedly with the city of New York and everything it had to offer. I spent my days training to the point of complete exhaustion where I would come back to this residence and literally collapse and then do it all over again the next day. On the weekends, I explored the city; pounding the pavement going in a different direction each week from early morning until after sundown. Since that experience, I always felt that New York was the place I wanted to call home. The place where my inner spirit felt the most free. Fast forward to 2012, and finally I am making my dream a reality . Since then, I have had 2 careers, met my soul mate and started a family. After vacationing in New York two different times with my husband….(once in Manhattan and once in rural upstate), we have finally decided to throw everything to the wind and make the move with our 2 children. My husband Robert and I feel like ”it is now or never.” As he says…”All in or all out Baby!” …Our goal is to be watching fireworks on the the 4th of July somewhere along the Hudson!
